The United Lutheran Church (Grand Forks, N.D.) photographic collection represent a record of the construction of the United Lutheran Church from an architectural drawing in 1930 to a completed structure in 1932. The photographs especially detail the Art-Deco design of the building. The architectural firm of Joseph Bell DeRemer designed the building. Samuel Teel DeRemer was the chief architect.

The United Lutheran Church (Grand Forks, N.D.) was formed from three of the original Lutheran congregations established in the city. Zion Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran merged in 1917 to form Bethany Congregation, and in 1926 First Lutheran joined Bethany to create United Lutheran Church. The Zion Lutheran Church building was razed to make way for the new United Lutheran Church building; the cornerstone was laid in 1929. The church was dedicated May 15, 1932.
